Snowdonia Cheese Company is a family business, founded in North Wales in 2001.
 
Inspired by the lush greenery of beautiful Snowdonia in North Wales, we began by using fresh ingredients to craft natural, premium Cheddar and Red Leicester cheeses that married an extraordinary depth of flavour with a remarkable creaminess.
 
Today, we continue to focus on the finest fresh and natural ingredients and dedicate ourselves to ensuring the highest levels of product quality. Rock Star, a distinctively rich cave-aged Cheddar, is matured to perfection within Welsh slate caverns in the heart of Snowdonia. It has a deliciously savoury aroma, while its texture is irresistibly smooth and creamy with the occasional crunchy crystal – a highly desirable characteristic of aged cheeses. On the palate, its complex umami flavours are as deep as the caverns it is aged in. Sweet caramel notes then lead to a long finish with a savoury tang. Encased in cobalt-coloured wax to celebrate the rocks of these historical mines, it is the star of any cheeseboard.
